End User License Agreement
Effective September 26, 2026
This End User License Agreement ("License") is between you and Begin Solids LLC ("Begin Solids," "we," "us"). It covers the Begin Solids web app and everything in it, including its guides, lessons, programs, food, recipe and meal pages, photographs, illustrations, text, nutrient data, printable and downloadable materials, and software (together, the "App"). It's part of our Terms of Service, which also apply, including their health, safety and medical disclaimer, their warranty disclaimer and limits on liability, and their dispute terms.
1. Your license
When you buy Begin Solids and your payment stays in good standing, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the App for your own family's personal, noncommercial use. The people you invite to your family on Begin Solids may use the App under this License too.
The App is licensed to you. It isn't sold, and we and our licensors keep all rights, title and interest in it, including all copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property. Any rights not expressly granted in this License are reserved.
2. What you may not do
You may not, and may not let anyone else:
- copy, reproduce, publish, post, broadcast, or distribute any part of the App, except to print or save a page for your own family's use;
- sell, resell, rent, lend, sublicense, or share access to the App with anyone outside your family on Begin Solids, including by sharing a login;
- use the App or its content for any commercial purpose, such as in a paid service, class, consultation, publication, product, or social media account that promotes a business;
- create derivative works from the App's content, or remove or change any copyright, trademark or other notices;
- scrape, crawl, download in bulk, or use automated tools to collect content from the App;
- use any content from the App to train, fine-tune or build any artificial intelligence or machine learning model, or to build a competing product or service;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App's software, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
- get around the App's access controls or security, or access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide.
3. Third-party content and services
The App relies on services from other companies, including for hosting, payments and email, and summarizes guidance published by third parties such as public health organizations. Those third parties aren't parties to this License and have no obligations under it. Their own terms apply to their services.
4. Updates
We may update the App from time to time, including to add or change content, reflect new feeding guidance, fix problems, or improve security. Updates are covered by this License. Because the App runs in your web browser, updates apply automatically.
5. Ending the License
This License lasts while you have access to Begin Solids. It ends automatically if you break it or the Terms of Service, if your payment is refunded, reversed or successfully disputed, or if you delete your account. When it ends, you must stop using the App. Sections 2 and 6, and anything else that by its nature should survive, continue after it ends.
6. Disclaimers and limits
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," as described in our Terms of Service. Nothing in the App is medical advice, and the App doesn't guarantee any result for your child. Always follow the advice of your child's pediatrician, and call 911 in an emergency. Our liability to you is limited as set out in our Terms of Service.
7. Governing law
This License is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and applicable U.S. federal law, and disputes are handled as described in our Terms of Service.
